Virginia’s For Lovers…and Mike Bliss:
With a heartfelt disappoint in his performance at Bristol Motor Speedway, Mike Bliss is ready to redeem his short-track integrity in Friday night’s ToyotaCare 250 at Richmond International Raceway. Turning over 8,400 career laps at the .75-mile raceway, Bliss has made 38 career starts across NASCAR’s three premier series; earning three top-five and eight top-10 finishes. Bliss will only participate in the NASCAR XFINITY Series race this weekend, where his best start was on the outside pole in 2009 and his best finish was fifth in 2007. Finishing 20th in his last race at Richmond, Bliss hopes to build towards his first top-15 of the season.
Bliss’ thoughts on Richmond International Raceway:
“I was disappointed with our finish at Bristol, we normally run really well there and we missed it this time. Richmond is a great short-track; completely different than Bristol. I’ve been in the shop working with my guys all week and I’m hopeful we’ll build off of last weekend’s effort.”
No. 19 Toyota Camry: Crew Chief Paul Clapprood will unload chassis No. 52 for the ToyotaCare 250.
Additional Notes: This will mark Bliss’ 730th career NASCAR start, which has stretched across 20-years in all three series.
