David Starr Ready for First NXS Start in Richmond: Friday night marks David Starr’s first NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Richmond International Raceway, but this won’t be his first time at RIR. Starr has five previous NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts at the .75-mile raceway and captured one pole win in 2005. Currently sitting 11th in the NASCAR XFINITY Series Driver Points Standings, Starr is looking forward to his first NXS start at RIR under the lights Friday night.
Starr’s thoughts on Richmond International Raceway: “I’m looking forward to getting back in the Zachry Toyota Camry and heading to Richmond. It’s always cool to race under the lights here and I’m hoping to have a better short track finish than last week in Bristol.”
No. 44 Zachry Group Camry: Crew Chief Greg Conner and the No. 44 Zachry crew will unload chassis No. 112 at Richmond International Raceway. This chassis’ last run was at Phoenix International Raceway.
Additional Notes:
– This will mark Starr’s 49th NASCAR XFINITY Series race
