FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
It’s Talladega… Where Anything Can Happen:
Making the best of it in last weekend’s short track “showdown” in Richmond, Va., Mike Bliss is ready to roll the dice for his first Superspeedway start of the 2015 XFINITY Series season. Turning over 2,000 career laps at the 2.666-mile speedway, Bliss has made 18 career starts across NASCAR’s three premier series; earning one top-five and four top-10 finishes. Bliss will only participate in the NASCAR XFINITY Series race this weekend, where his best start was on the outside pole in 2008 and his best finish was fifth in 2003. Finishing 12th in his last race in Dega, Bliss hopes to build towards a potential win at the track where ANYTHING can happen!
Bliss’ thoughts on Richmond International Raceway: “Talladega is a lot of fun. Your efforts are more concentrated on luck versus the actual handling of your car. Don’t get me wrong, you want your car to handle well in the draft, but if you have luck there [Talladega] you can really shine!”
No. 19 Toyota Camry: Crew Chief Paul Clapprood will unload chassis No. 2 for the Winn-Dixie 300.
Additional Notes:
– This will mark Bliss’ 731st career NASCAR start, which has stretched across 20-years in all three series.
– Mike Bliss will participate in the NASCAR XFINITY Series Autograph session on Friday, May 1stfrom 2:00PM – 2:30PM.
