David Starr Returns to Talladega Looking for Redemption: After a tough week in Richmond, David Starr and the No. 44 Zachry team are ready to get back to a track where they have seen success. After leading laps in last seasons race at Talladega Superspeedway, Starr knows his way around the track. With only three starts at TSS, Starr has an average starting position of 31.7 and an average finishing position of 29.7. Sitting 12th in points, Starr is looking to build off of his 6th place finish that he attained earlier this season at Daytona International Speedway.
Starr’s thoughts on Talladega Superspeedway: “Talladega is an intense and exciting super speedway. It’s all about the draft and calculated moves are critical. We’re running the same car from Daytona, which was pretty good. I’m looking forward to rebounding after our tough run in Richmond and getting the Zachry Camry back up front.”
No. 44 Zachry Camry: Crew Chief Greg Conner and the No. 44 Zachry crew will unload chassis No. 649 at Talladega Superspeedway. This chassis’ last run was at Daytona International Speedway where Starr finished 6th.
Additional Notes:
– This will mark Starr’s 50th NASCAR XFINITY Series race
– David Starr will be at the NASCAR XFINITY Series Autograph Session on May 1st from 2:00PM until 2:30PM
