Debuting a brand new look for the No. 6 zegilcustomhomes.com Nissan 240SX, Woodley would have a solid run on opening night, finishing 14th in the Graham Landscape Mini Stock feature.
Woodley would start off the night by finishing eighth in his heat after starting 11th. As a result, he would have to run the b-main, starting third. He would have a good solid run en route to finishing third to qualify for the feature.
The redraw for the feature would have him start on the pole ahead of the field. With the quicker cars right on his tail, he would fall back to seventh in the first five laps of the feature. He would then fall back another two spots before the first caution flew at lap 18 for Justin Holmes going around.
Woodley would stay out of the trouble throughout the rest of the 25 lap feature, finishing the event in the 14th spot.
Photos from the night can be found on the team website at http://www.nfcmotorsports.com.
Woodley will return to Sunset Speedway this weekend in search of his first top-10 of the year. The night starts off with time trialing for the Limited Late Models at 3:30, followed by the Mighty Mini and Mini Stock heats. Opening ceremonies and the rest of the night begin at 5pm.
