Hello Old Friend: After a 30th place finish in Charlotte, Eric McClure is ready to reacquaint himself with Dover International Speedway. McClure has not laid eyes on the track coined the Monster Mile in two years. With his last start being in 2013, McClure is intrigued with what the one-mile concrete oval has in store for him. Saturday’s Buckle Up 200 will be the 14th time McClure and Hefty® have teamed up in Dover, Del. McClure’s spring 2009 efforts posted his best start of 18th and his best finish of 23rd.
McClure’s thoughts on Dover International Speedway: “It has been a couple of years since I have raced at Dover. I am looking forward to my first race back there, especially with the chemistry I have with my new team. Last weekend marked 10-years with Hefty® in the XFINITY Series and I’d really like to earn a great finish for them this weekend.”
No. 24 Hefty® Toyota Camry: Crew Chief Wes Ward and the No. 24 crew will unload chassis No. 121 for the Buckle Up 200.
Additional Notes:
