NXS: Off -Weekend Stems Relaxed Return to Michigan for Eric McClure

Ready to Race in the Irish Hills:

After enjoying an off-weekend full of R&R, Eric McClure is relaxed and ready to tackle Michigan International Speedway (MIS). With a 24^th place finish in Dover, McClure and his Hefty® / Reynolds Wrap® team are continuing to build momentum. Considering the 36-year-old Virginia native has not laid eyes on MIS since 2013, he is poised for this weekend’s 125-lap event. With his last start being in 2013, Saturday’s Great Clips 250 will be the seventh time McClure and Hefty® / Reynolds Wrap® racing have teamed up in Brooklyn, Mich. McClure’s summer 2008 efforts posted his best start of 18^th and his best finish of 33^rd came in the spring of 2011.

McClure’s thoughts on Michigan International Speedway:

“Michigan presents similar sets of challenges for me that Dover did. I’ve only competed there three times in the last five-years. It [Michigan] hasn’t been one of my better tracks, but it presents another opportunity to come in, erase the past and take another step forward. I know the guys have worked hard turning this car around, so I’m excited to get the weekend started.”

Fun Fact: McClure’s oldest daughter’s, Mabreigh (age 8), first word was mommy. Her second word was Hefty®. Even the youngest family members have brand recognition and awareness.
