China Grove, NC (June 10, 2015) – After a month long hiatus, and a trip to England to race in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, Jeffrey Earnhardt is anxious to get back into a racecar on American soil. He will do just that this weekend as Earnhardt is prepared to drive the Fronius USA/Viva Auto Group Chevrolet at Michigan International Speedway. The No. 55 Camaro will once again sport the red and grey colors synonymous with Fronius. Fronius USA was also featured on Earnhardt’s Viva Motorsports machine for the first two races of the year.
The Great Clips 250 will mark the third trip with the NASCAR Xfinity Series to the fast 2-mile oval for the 4th generation driver. In his previous two visits, he has a best finish of 25th, occurring last June. He is counting on besting that mark this time out.
Although Earnhardt isn’t running the full schedule this season, he has made the most of his 5 starts so far, having accumulated 3 top-16 finishes. The last Xfinity Series race in which Jeffrey competed took place at Talladega Superspeedway where he came home with a 12th place finish, tying his career best
The Car: The Viva Motorsports team will be unloading chassis VM-010 as the primary race car and VM-008 will ride along as backup.
