BROOKLYN, Michigan (June 10, 2015) – – Officials from Rick Ware Racing (RWR) and Lilly Trucking announced today that the team’s longtime partner will serve as primary sponsor for the next two NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) races at Michigan International Speedway (MIS) and Chicagoland Speedway respectively.

Jimmy Weller, a big block dirt modified division racer from Ohio will pilot the team’s No. 15 Lilly Trucking Chevrolet Camaro for the June 13 event. With a deep root of racing experience, Weller has been productively building his NASCAR resumes which includes races on the Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) and XFINITY Series tours.
The Hubbard, Ohio-native hold a career-best ninth place finish in his NCWTS debut at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway in February 2014. This weekend, the 29-year-old will make his fifth career XFINITY Series start with hopes to better his 26th-place finish in his most recent race at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway last month.
“Jimmy has developed into a smart and capable race car driver,” said Rick Ware, team principal of Rick Ware Racing. “His worth ethic on and off the track stands for everything that we believe at Rick Ware Racing, but a model that Lilly Trucking has also built into success. I’m excited to see what he can do.”
Leading the RWR team for Saturday’s Great Clips 250 benefiting Paralyzed Veterans of America will be longtime NASCAR fixture Jeff Spraker.
Spraker, a former driver who hails experience in the industry for nearly 40 plus years will serve as Weller’s crew chief, while taking an extended role as team manager. His crew chief responsibilities will also include next Saturday’s standalone race on June 20.
“I have a lot of respect for Jeff (Spraker),” added Ware. “He has a devotion for this sport, while also the passion to make sure anything in his possession comes to the track in pristine condition. I’m looking forward to seeing how he and Jimmy (Weller) work together. We are working extremely hard at the shop right now. We’re also anticipating our return to the truck series very soon with new drivers and partners. This summer stretch looks positive for us.”
Additional primary roles for Lilly Trucking in the XFINITY Series will be announced at a later date.

The Great Clips 250 benefiting Paralyzed Veterans of America (125 laps / 250 miles) is the 13th of 33 events on the 2015 NASCAR XFINITY Series schedule. The first practice session begins on Friday, June 12 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Round two is set for later in the afternoon from 2:30 p.m. – 3:55 p.m. Qualifying is set for race day, Saturday, June 13scheduled to lift off at 10:15 a.m. The 40-car starting field will take the green flag shortly after 2:00 p.m., with the anticipated green flag sixteen minutes later with live coverage on FOX Sports 1, the Motor Racing Network (Radio) and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Satellite Radio, Channel 90).
