IRWIN Tools Night Race | August 22, 2015
High-Banking at Bristol…Justin Allgaier returns to Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS) for Saturday night’s IRWIN Tools Night Race. BMS is the site of his best career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series finish. Allgaier accomplished the eighth-place finish at this year’s Spring race in the Auto-Owners Insurance Chevy. BMS also brings back winning memories for Allgaier. He visited the rooftop victory lane at BMS in his sophomore XFINITY season.
See Justin…On Saturday, August 22 from 3:45 – 3:55 p.m. EDT, Allgaier will appear for a Q&A at the Team Chevy stage located in the BMS Fan Midway. Allgaier will also appear for a Q&A at 4:05 p.m. EDT in the Bristol Club Suite. Tickets to the Bristol Club Suite may be purchased by visiting www.bristolmotorspeedway.com.
Over the Off Week…Allgaier will spend part of his off week behind the wheel of his dirt car. On Friday, August 28, BRANDT Professional Agriculture is sponsoring the dirt event that Allgaier will race in at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Ill.
Michigan II Recap…Michigan International Speedway completed another race with NASCAR’s high-drag package last weekend. Allgaier qualified the BRANDT Professional Agriculture Chevy 28th for the Pure Michigan 400. Within the closing laps of the scheduled 200-lap distance, Allgaier got loose and made contact with the wall. He made a late-race pit stop to change two right-side tires and for the crew to quickly work on the damage. After returning to the track, Allgaier finished 29th in the BRANDT Chevy for HScott Motorsports.
Justin Allgaier on Bristol Motor Speedway:
“Bristol [Motor Speedway] is my favorite track that we race at for a lot of reasons. I finished eighth there in the spring, and think we can get an even better finish this weekend. I have a lot of confidence that we will qualify well this weekend. It’s so important to get a really good starting spot because the pace is so fast at a short track. Each move has to be so calculated at Bristol because if you get out of the groove, it’s hard to get back in the racing line. I’ve been in Bristol’s victory lane in the XFINITY Series and would love to get back there for BRANDT Professional Agriculture and everyone at HScott Motorsports.”
Crew Chief Steve Addington on Bristol Motor Speedway:
“Justin has a lot of confidence when it comes to short tracks, especially Bristol [Motor Speedway]. He had a really good race there in the spring. The guys at the shop have prepared a great car for this weekend. I’m looking forward to getting another top-10 finish, and to really building some momentum for this last third of the season.”
