For the second time in a row at Sunset Speedway, it’d be Dave Riopelle visiting victory lane as he picked up the win after holding off Cole Ledson and Kevin Foisy in the late stages.
The first heat would see a quick spin by Jamie McArthur, followed by a spin by Bailey Brown and then the No. 10 spinning Jamie Riberdy. Foisy picked up the win ahead of Duane Cinnamon, Terry McClelland, Mike Gettliffe, Miles Tyson, Jarret Stewart, Riberdy, McArthur, Don Arnott and Brown.
Nick Ledson picked up the win in the second heat ahead of Riopelle, Cole Ledson, Brandon Thurlby, Parker Traves, Willy Howells and the 22.
Kevin Foisy went for the daily double, winning the third heat ahead of McClelland, Stewart, Gettliffe, Cinnamon, Tyson, Brown, Riberdy, Arnott and McArthur.
Dave Riopelle won the final heat ahead of Cole Ledson, Nick Ledson, Thurlby, Jacob Sheridan, Bill Mason, Parker Traves, Willy Howells and the 22.
Come feature time, Jacob Sheridan started pole ahead of Cole Ledson, Terry McClelland, Dave Riopelle, Nick Ledson, Kevin Foisy, Duane Cinnamon, Mike Gettliffe, Bill Mason, Brandon Thurlby, Jamie Riberdy, Parker Travis, the 29, Bailey Brown, Jamie McArthur, Don Arnott, Willy Howells, Miles Tyson and the 22.
Sheridan would jump out to the early lead ahead of Cole Ledson, Riopelle, Nick Ledson, Foisy, McClelland, Cinnamon, Gettliffe, Mason, Riberdy, Thurlby, Jarret Stewart, Traves, the 29 and Tyson. Riopelle would then get alongside Cole Ledson for second at lap seven, completing the pass a lap later. Foisy would then move into third on lap nine ahead of Cole Ledson and Nick Ledson.
Continuing his climb to the front, Foisy would get alongside Riopelle for second at lap 10, completing the pass two laps later. Foisy would then get by Sheridan to take the lead on lap 12. Sheridan’s strong run would come up short the next lap, as he’d go for the spin for the first caution of the event.
On the restart, Stewart would lock up the wheels going into turn one, getting into McClelland and sending him for a spin, with the 29 getting collected. The 29 would then head off the track with a broken tie-rod. With 12 laps to go, Foisy would lead Riopelle, Cole Ledson and Nick Ledson.
On the restart, Foisy would slip up the track a little, opening the door as Riopelle slipped by to grab the lead. Foisy would then slot into the second spot ahead of Cole Ledson as Nick Ledson, Thurlby and Mason went three-wide for fourth. Nick Ledson would get the spot on lap 15 ahead of Thurlby, with Gettliffe getting by Mason for sixth on lap 17. Sheridan, making his way back to the front, would get by Mason for seventh a lap later.
At the front of the field, Dave Riopelle would cruise to his second straight Sunset Speedway victory ahead of Nick Ledson, who was able to get by Kevin Foisy on the last lap for second. Cole Ledson and Brandon Thurlby rounded out the top-five. Mike Gettliffe was sixth, followed by Jacob Sheridan, Bill Mason, Jamie Riberdy, Jarret Stewart, Terry McClelland, Miles Tyson, Bailey Brown, Duane Cinnamon, Jamie McArthur, Parker Traves, Willy Howells, Don Arnott and the 22.
