Starr hopeful third time’s a charm: For the third and final road course of the season, the NASCAR XFINITY Series will travel to Elkhart Lake, WI for this weekend’s Road America 180 Fired Up by Johnsonville. David Starr, in the No. 44 Zachry Camry, will run the 4.048-mile road course with rookie stripes with it being his first visit to this venue. With Road America featuring a 14-turn layout, Starr is eager to get into the seat, gain a good feel for the course and is hoping for a strong finish.
Starr’s thoughts: “I’m looking forward to taking the Zachry Camry to Road America this week. It’ll be my first time running this course, so we’ll really need to focus on learning the track during practice. With a couple road courses already under our belt, we’re looking to get a solid finish”.
No. 44 Zachry Camry: Crew Chief Greg Conner and the No. 44 Zachry crew will unload chassis No.310. This chassis ran consecutively in the two previous road courses (Watkins Glen and Mid-Ohio) and will serve as the primary for Road America.
Additional Notes:
– This will mark Starr’s 64th NASCAR XFINITY Series start
