August 27, 2015 (Mooresville, NC) Last week, Lira Motorsports announced that they would field four cars for the upcoming ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards Federated Car Care Fall Classic 200 at Salem Speedway.
The team officially announced their driver line-up for the September 19th race event today, and it includes two drivers new to the Lira Motorsports team. Twenty-one year old racer Brandon Lynn will be making his debut, both with the team and the ARCA Series, at the high-banked Indiana oval track. Todd Gilliland, the son of NASCAR driver David Gilliland, will be making his third series start, and his first with Lira Motorsports. Todd won the Menards 200 presented by Federated Car Care at Toledo Speedway earlier this year, and finished 9th at Iowa Speedway in July.
Returning to the team for his sixth career start, and his third start for Lira Motorsports, will be Blake Jones. Blake won the International Motorsports Hall of Fame 200 at Talladega earlier this year. He has had top ten finishes in his two starts with Lira Motorsports, at Iowa Speedway in July and at Berlin Raceway in August.
Filling out the four car effort is the team’s full-time driver, David Levine. David has racked up nine top ten finishes thus far this year, and is ranked 5th in the ARCA Series driver points standings. He has led the SCOTT Rookie Challenge standings for the majority of the season. In the race at Salem earlier this year, David captured the CGS Imaging Hard Charger Award, racing from the 25th starting spot to a 9th place finish.
Car numbers for the drivers will be as follows: Brandon Lynn #36, Todd Gilliland #38, Blake Jones #58 and David Levine #59. Sponsor announcements, as well as additional news and notes for each driver, will be released during the week before the race.
