HScott Motorsports NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Preview
Justin Allgaier
No. 51 BRANDT Professional Agriculture Chevrolet
Darlington Raceway
Bojangles’ Southern 500 | September 6, 2015
See Justin…On Sunday, September 6 from 3:15 – 3:30 p.m. EDT, Allgaier will appear for a Q&A at the Team Chevy stage located in the Darlington fan midway.
Recapping the Off Week…Allgaier spent three days last week racing his UMP DIRT Modified car at Macon Speedway, Paducah International Raceway and BRANDT night at Farmer City Raceway. Allgaier was in Decatur, Ill. representing BRANDT Professional Agriculture at the Farm Progress Show this Tuesday and Wednesday.
Bristol II Recap…Allgaier returned to Bristol Motor Speedway for the second race at the short track this season. His visit in the spring resulted in his NSCS career-best finish of eighth. Allgaier advanced to the second round of qualifying and earned the 14th starting spot. During the 500-lap race, Allgaier battled back from a pit road speeding penalty and losing a lap to finish 12th in the BRANDT Professional Agriculture Chevy for HScott Motorsports.
Justin Allgaier on Darlington Raceway:
“Darlington [Raceway] is a unique track. This weekend is going to be extra special since it’s Labor Day weekend and the track has put a lot of effort into the throwback theme. BRANDT was kind enough to work with us on a throwback paint scheme. It’s modeled after the No. 51 Cup car that AJ Foyt drove. AJ was someone that I admired growing up and still do to this day. We had some bad luck in this race last year with a loose wheel, but I know the guys at HScott Motorsports have prepared a great car. To win at Darlington would be very special. There’s so much history and nostalgia associated with the track.”
Crew Chief Steve Addington on Darlington Raceway:
“We’re running a different aero package, so that’ll change some thing for us compared to what we have done in the past. This is a track that Justin really likes and we were having a pretty good run last year, but just had some misfortune that set us back.”
About Competition Director and Crew Chief Steve Addington:
