For the third time this season, Cameron McGlashan was able to get out front and not look back as he picked up his third career feature victory in the Signs of Innovation Mighty Mini feature on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway.
Stefan Semeraro started the night in victory lane by winning the first heat ahead of Randi Seguin, Treyten Lapcevich, Jeremy McLean, Dylan Holmes, Robert Toope, Thomas Dunn, Joe Dunlop, Scott Brooks, Wendy Adams and the 18.
The second heat saw a pair of cautions as Chandler Bos would stall on lap two, with Lisa DeLeeuw stalling on the restart. McGlashan picked up the win ahead of Chris Allard, Stefan Woyslaw, Eric Rainey, Doug Wilman, Mathew Ashley and Billy McLeod.
Thomas Dunn won the b-main ahead of Robinson Jr., Dunlop, DeLeeuw, Bos, Adams, Brooks, McLeod, the 18 and Peter Wakeling.
The Fast Qualifer’s Dash would see a caution on lap seven as Allard would spin Lapcevich. Then on the restart, Toope, Lapcevich and Wilman would go three-wide, with Toope getting into Wilman and spinning him; there’d be no caution. Cameron McGlashan went for the daily double ahead of Semeraro, McLean, Holmes, Lapcevich, Woyslaw, Rainey, Toope, Ashley and Wilman.
Come feature time, Jeremy McLean would start the No. 88 Junior’s Tire, Doug’s Rental, MVDs Garage, North Bay Signs & Decals, McCabe Masonry, Clover Auto, Eagles Nest Gas Bar, Manchester’s Sleep Center and Spa entry on the pole ahead of Stefan Semeraro, Wendy Adams, Stefan Woyslaw, Mike Robinson Jr., Cameron McGlashan, Eric Rainey, Lisa DeLeeuw, Dylan Holmes, Randi Seguin, Joe Dunlop, Doug Wilman, Treyten Lapcevich, Thomas Dunn, Chandler Bos, Chris Allard, Scott Brooks, Billy McLeod, the 18 and Mathew Ashley.
McLean would hold the early advantage over Semeraro, McGlashan, Woyslaw, Robinson Jr. and Holmes, McGlashan would then get by Semeraro to move into second on lap four, as Robinson Jr. got alongside Woyslaw for fourth. Robinson Jr. would then grab the spot on lap five ahead of Woyslaw, Holmes, Lapcevich, Rainey and Dunlop as Allard headed down pit road.
McGlashan would catch McLean for the lead, and the pair would battle back and forth with contact between the pair. McGlashan would then put the No. 83 England Enterprises, ORVauto, Taylor Drywalling & Taping, Express Yourself Décor Mustang out front on lap 10 ahead of McLean, Robinson Jr., Semeraro and Holmes as Lapcevich battled Woyslaw for sixth. Lapcevich would get the spot on lap 13, then passing Holmes to move into fifth.
Just outside of the top-five, Holmes would now run sixth ahead of Woyslaw as Rainey and Seguin battled for eighth. Seguin would get the spot on lap 15 ahead of Rainey, Dunlop and Wilman. Further up the field, Lapcevich continued his charge as he got by Semeraro with three laps to go to move into the fourth spot.
At the front of the field, it was all Cameron McGlashan as he led the rest of the way en route to scoring the feature victory ahead of Jeremy McLean, Mike Robinson Jr., Treyten Lapcevich, Stefan Semeraro, Dylan Holmes, Stefan Woyslaw, Randi Seguin, Eric Rainey, Joe Dunlop, Doug Wilman, Thomas Dunn, Chandler Bos, Wendy Adams, Lisa DeLeeuw, Billy McLeod, Scott Brooks, Matthew Ashley and Chris Allard.
