Justin Allgaier
No. 51 BRANDT Professional Agriculture Chevrolet
Richmond International Raceway
Federated Auto Parts 400 | September 12, 2015
See Justin…On Saturday, September 12 from 3:30 – 3:40 p.m. EDT, Allgaier will appear for a Q&A at the Team Chevy stage located in the RIR Fan Midway.
MRN Radio’s In-Car Reporter…Allgaier will be MRN Radio’s in-car reporter for Saturday’s night race. MRN’s anchors will ask Allgaier questions during pace laps and will catch back up with him during a race caution.
Darlington Race Recap…Allgaier’s throwback paint scheme at Darlington Raceway was modeled after the No. 51 Cup car driven by AJ Foyt. After two practice sessions on Friday at Darlington, Saturday’s only track activity was qualifying. Allgaier earned the 27th starting spot for the Bojangles Southern 500. Darlington proved tough to tame for Allgaier. Just before the 100-lap mark of the race, Allgaier and another competitor made contact, sending Allgaier into the wall. The No. 51 machine sat on pit road for several laps of repairs and the BRANDT Chevy ended the night 33rd for HScott Motorsports.
Justin Allgaier on Richmond International Raceway:
“There’s a lot on the line at Richmond [International Raceway] this weekend. If you aren’t already locked in the Chase, it’s your last chance. It’s our last chance to get in and the same for several other drivers. We’re all aggressive by nature, and guys will do things they normally wouldn’t because there’s so much on the line. I’ve always enjoyed driving at Richmond. The shorter the track and the more unique the track is, the more I seem to like it. We were doing really well in the spring race, but didn’t get the finish to show for it. Restarts are so important and it’s the easiest way to gain spots, so they can be pretty dicey and the damage we got on one hurt our day. The good news is we can really build off of the last race there and get a good finish for BRANDT and HScott Motorsports.”
Crew Chief Steve Addington on Richmond International Raceway:
“We had a good weekend at Richmond earlier this year, and I hope to repeat the same this weekend and get the finish to show for it. Justin does really well at the short tracks and I think we’ll see a lot of different strategies for the drivers who are trying to make the Chase. Biggest factor this weekend looks like it’s going to be the weather.”
