FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
This Feels Familiar: After throwing it back to the 60’s last weekend at Darlington Raceway, Eric McClure is ready for present day racing in Richmond. McClure has 14 previous starts at the ¾-mile oval, with his best start of 18th occurring in 2009 and his best finish of 26th in 2013. McClure and the Reynolds Wrap® Camry are set for the short track showdown Friday night under the lights.
McClure’s thoughts on Richmond International Raceway: “I’m looking forward to Friday night’s race. The XFINITY Series continues to get stronger and although Richmond is a track that I haven’t experienced great success, it presents an opportunity to get better and continue to step forward. We are taking my favorite car and I’m hopeful that will translate into an improved result.”
No. 24 Reynolds Wrap® Toyota Camry:The No. 24 Hefty®/Reynolds Wrap® crew will unload chassis No.52 for this Friday night’s Virginia 529 College Savings 250 at Richmond International Raceway.
Additional Notes:
- Fun Fact: Did you know McClure love’s the University of Virginia football so much that he was a season ticket holder for ten years?! Unfortunately, he will be sidelined for football games as three of his daughters will pick up pom-poms this weekend.
- This weekend’s event will mark McClure’s 279th NASCAR XFINITY Series start.
