Starr seeks redemption: The NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) will head to Richmond International Raceway (RIR) this weekend, for the second and final time of the 2015 season. David Starr, behind the wheel of the No. 44 Zachry Camry, will make his second NXS run at the .75-mile D-shaped oval. In his previous and first run at the Richmond, VA based venue, he finished 29th and completed 245 laps. Having an average finish of 16th in the NASCAR Camping World Series at RIR, Starr seeks redemption from his last NXS finish at RIR.
Starr’s thoughts: “It’s always fun racing at Richmond. It takes me back to my short track days. We didn’t run very well here in the spring, so I’m looking forward to coming back for a little redemption.”
No. 44 Zachry Camry: Crew Chief Greg Conner and the No. 44 Zachry crew will unload chassis No.112. This chassis’ last run was at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Additional Notes:
– This will mark Starr’s 66th NASCAR XFINITY Series start
