Driver QUOTE: “My LeafFilter Camry was pretty good right off of the truck. We weren’t extremely fast, but the car drove good. With a few adjustments in the race, we got the car pretty good to be able to race our way into the top-20. A good overall weekend for us and something that we can build from.”
Cale Conley Finishes 22nd in the Virginia 529 College Savings 250
Cale Conley and the No. 14 IAVA team returned to Richmond International Raceway this week to compete in the Virginia 529 College Savings 250. Conley transferred through to the second round of qualifying, posting speeds fast enough to start the 250-lap event from the 22nd position. Two quick cautions jump started what was an otherwise quiet race. The long green-flag stretches saw the majority of the field lose a lap to the leaders. Conley raced between 21st and 24th and battled handling issues throughout the evening. He finished the event in the 22nd position.

Driver QUOTE: “It was a frustrating night for the No. 14 team. We had a great practice, but the race didn’t go as well as we expected. We corded two tires and were battling a tight car. We have one more short track this season and I’m hoping we turn it around for that.”
Eric McClure Finishes 26th in the Virginia 529 College Savings 250
In his best start, since being back with TriStar Motorsports, Eric McClure started from the 25th position in Fridaynight’s 35th Annual Virginia529 College Savings 250 at Richmond International Raceway. With a chassis adjustment, four tires, fuel and a grill cleaning, McClure restarted 16th. 24-laps go by until the next caution. With a slow leak in his left rear tire, McClure was called to pit road for a tear off, chassis adjustment, four tires and fuel. Driver QUOTE: “Our car was really solid. Somehow got off tire sequence and lost the laps on those long runs. But our finish doesn’t reflect the quality of car we had. I’m proud of my team’s effort.”
