WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR NEW HAMPSHIRE MOTOR SPEEDWAY

Jamie McMurray, one of the 16 competitors in the Challenger Round of the Chase, started from the 13th position and managed and ill-handling car in the early running, to bring home a 16th-place finish.
McMurray at NHMS: McMurray will be making his 26th start at NHMS this weekend. In his previous trips to the “Magic Mile”, McMurray has four top-five and six top-10 finishes, which includes a fourth-place finish in last fall’s race. Kyle Larson and No. 42 Target Plaid Team
Chicagoland Recap: The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) made its one and only stop at Chicagoland Speedway as the first round of the playoffs for the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup officially began. Although the No. 42 Target team is not in the playoffs, they looked to play the spoiler role again this season during the Chase. Larson started Sunday’s race in 18th position and, after some early adjustments on the Clorox Chevy, steadily improved his running order to secure a seventh-place finish.
Larson at NHMS: The “Magic Mile” has resulted in several good finishes for for Larson, who has competed all but two race laps en route to an average finish of 12.0 at the track in three NSCS starts. Last season, Larson raced from starts of 13th and 10th to a third and second place finish, respectively. Larson’s most recent stop at NHMS resulted in a 31st place finish after starting from the 17th spot. Larson also has one win win at the track, which came in 2012 in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East.
Let the Plaid Begin: This fall, as Target goes mad for plaid with tartan-themed items throughout the store, the No. 42 Target Team is getting the plaid touch as well. For eight of next nine races various plaid-inspired designs will be featured on Larson, the crew and the No. 42 Chevy. Just in time for the cooler weather, the plaid touch begins with this weekend with a stylish buffalo plaid inspired paint scheme. Look for plaid patterned items at Target this fall, including the limited-edition Adam Lippes for Target collaboration featuring 50 items with the designer’s take on buffalo plaid.
Mr. Baseball: Prior to assuming his usual weekend duties, Larson is scheduled to take in some baseball with a trip on Wednesday to Minneapolis to catch a Minnesota Twins game at Target Field and a stop off at Fenway Park on Thursday to watch the Boston Red Sox. At the Twins game, Larson is scheduled to greet fans at an interactive Team Target display prior to game, while members of his crew perform pit stop demonstrations with the No. 42 Target Chevy. While at Fenway, Larson is scheduled to tour the ballpark and throw out the first pitch before the game. Previously this season, Larson has thrown out the first pitch at a Dodgers spring training game and led the crowd at a Giants game in singing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” during the seventh inning stretch.
A Shopping Bullseye: If you have made it to the race only to find out you’ve forgotten to pack a few necessities, there’s no need to worry. For all your last minute needs and forgotten items, Target has all of the essentials and more. The nearest Target is located at 80 D’Amante Drive, Concord, NH 03301 and can be reached at (603) 227-0809. Call ahead and make sure they have what you need.
