Its all coming down to the wire – its the final points battle night. The Southeast Super Truck Series invades Tri-County Motor Speedway in Hudson, NC this Saturday night. Tri-County is a 4/10ths mile high banked speedway with lots of different racing grooves.
Series veteran Lee Tissot has won here in several different divisions, so he definitely knows his way around the track. Tissot has already wrapped up the championship battle for the year, but its anyone’s game for second-place on back.
Going into Kingsport there was only a two point difference between Tim Lollis and Cole Glasson for second in points. Glasson ran into some brake trouble at Kingsport and finished ninth, with Lollis coming out ahead, who ended up sixth. But now fourth-place contender Kevin Leicht has moved into the battle for second place in points, currently only eight points back.
The Rookie battle is also heating up between Ricky Bowers and Luke Sorrows. Sorrows had a better finish at Kingsport finishing third, but Bowers wasn’t far behind, finishing fourth. That being said, it tightened the rookie points battle up even tighter.
Now going into Tri County it is going to be unpredictable with lots of passing and lots of action. So come on out and join in the final point night for the Southeast Super Trucks. They will be joined by the Southeast Super Stocks, Winston Minis, Carolina Vintage, and Front Wheel Drive divisions.
