ADVANCE NOTES
Sadler at Dover
Elliott Sadler will make his 16th NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) start at Dover International Speedway this Saturday in Dover, DE. In Sadler’s previous 15 starts at Dover, he has one pole award, three top-five and eight top-10 finishes. Earlier this year, Sadler started 13th and finished 21st.
In addition to his 15 NXS starts, Sadler also has 24 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) starts at Dover with three top-10 finishes. Sadler has also led 188 laps at Dover in the NSCS.
Previous NASCAR XFINITY Series Race
Sadler finished 11th this past Saturday night in the NXS race at Kentucky Speedway. The No. 1 OneMain Financial Ford Mustang qualified for the 200-lap event on Saturday afternoon and started the race from the 12th position. In the first half of the race, Sadler worked his way through the field and moved into the fifth position. Running fourth on Lap 152, Sadler pitted under green and returned to the track one lap down in the 19th position. Not long after Sadler’s pit stop, the caution flag waved and completely ruined Sadler’s pit strategy. Sadler spent the final laps of the race playing catch up to cars that pitted under caution. In the final 40 laps, Sadler was able to gain a few spots and crossed the finish line in the 11th position.
2015 NASCAR XFINITY Series Driver Point Standing
Following the NXS race at Kentucky, Sadler dropped one position to the sixth spot in the NXS Driver Point Standings. After 27 races, Sadler is now 110 points behind the leader.

QUOTE WORTHY
“This week we head back to the Monster Mile in Dover. Earlier this season, we experienced power issues in the final 30 laps, forcing us to come down pit road to replace batteries. Overall, Dover can be a very fun, but challenging race track. Each lap feels like you’re on a roller coaster. I’m ready to head back to Dover Downs and battle for the win on Saturday afternoon.”
