Following a solid season at Sunset Speedway, Dan Archibald heads into this weekend’s Autumn Colours Classic at Peterborough Speedway in hopes of having a good, solid weekend.
In speaking with the thunder car veteran during pre-race tech on Thursday night, he stated that finishing is his “biggest goal of the weekend”, possibly in the top-10.
Archibald knows the car works well at Peterborough as the driver of the No. 07 Seaton Structures, Mister Transmission and Steve’s Towing entry ran some races at Peterborough throughout the season in-between Sunset’s events, scoring a feature victory and a couple heat wins.
“The car works well here,” he added. “We should probably qualify well in the top-five – that’s what we’re shooting for.”
Beyond the success already at Peterborough this year, Archibald had a solid season at Sunset with three top-fives and six top-10s on the season, including a podium finish in 75-lap invitational feature.
“I thought we were having a good year till we got screwed and black flagged for something that we didn’t do,” he said. “Other than that, we had a really good year. The car worked good. We were pretty much a top-five car every week.”
With qualifying set to kick off on Friday night at 6 p.m. EST, Archibald will certainly be looking to get his weekend off to a good note.
