On Friday and Saturday, qualifying took place for the 23rd Annual Autumn Colours Classic with the heats for the Limited Late Models.
The first heat would see a quick spin by Jack Horner on lap five, while Nick Goetz picked up the win ahead of Taylor Holdaway, Jason Parker, Paul Maltese, Steve Munro, Alvin McNicol, Steve Foster and Horner.
Thayne Hallyburton won the second heat ahead of Mike Bentley, Dario Capirchio, Tom Walters, Bryan Sudsbury, Chris Mitchell, Amanda Connolly and Frank Davey.
The third and final heat would see both Travis Hallyburton and Mike Westwood both go around in turn one on lap one. Westwood would go around for a second time shortly after the restart, with the caution being flown on lap five for debris.
The battle at the front would be big throughout the second half of the race with Travis, Lane Zardo and Brittney Gresel going three-wide, with Zardo sliding sideways. Zardo would keep it straight, keeping the lead, while Gresel would run into problems, stalling on the backstretch. Lane Zardo won the heat ahead of Travis, Rick Walt, the 4, Ryan Kimball, Westwood and Anthony DiBello.
Jason Parker picked up the win ahead of Holdaway, Goetz, Munroe, Maltese, Horner, McNicol and Foster.
Tom Walters won the fifth heat ahead of Mitchell, Connolly, Sudsbury, Bentley, Davey, Thayne Hallyburton and Capirchio.
The final and sixth heat started off rocky with Walt spinning Kimball on the opening lap; Walt would then pull off of the track. Lane Zardo picked up the win for the daily double ahead of Travis Hallyburton, Kimball, Westwood, Gresel and DiBello.
The Limited Late Models will return to the track on Sunday for their 75-lap feature.
