POOLE’S FINAL XFINITY SERIES START OF 2015
For the last time in 2015, Brennan Poole will be behind the wheel of the No. 42 DC Solar Chevrolet Camaro for Saturday afternoon’s 300-mile race at Kansas Speedway. Through 16 starts, Poole has two top-10 and nine top-15 finishes, with an average starting position of 16.6 and an average finishing position of 18.9. Poole started and finished fourth in his one prior at Kansas Speedway, in the ARCA Racing Series in October 2012.
RIDE WITH POOLE
Poole will once again carry the DC Solar on-board camera for Saturday’s 300-mile race. Tune into NBC Sports Network for all the action from the Kansas Lottery 300.
LOOKING BACK AT CHARLOTTE MOTOR SPEEDWAY
Poole and the team began the race hoping to move forward quickly in the DC Solar Camaro. Poole started the race with a car that handled tight and steadily remained just outside the top-20 as the crew continued to make adjustments during the first half of the race. With less than 10 laps to go, Poole made contact with the outside wall, forcing the team to make an unscheduled pit stop. After returning to the track, Poole crossed the line in 21st place.
POOLE ON KANSAS SPEEDWAY
“I really look forward to racing at Kansas Speedway. I finished in the top five in my first ARCA race there several years ago. (Crew Chief) Mike (Shiplett) and the guys have worked really hard to prepare another great race car for me. This season with my DC Solar team has been a lot of fun and being my final start of 2015, I hope to finish out with a strong run.”
CREW CHIEF MIKE SHIPLETT ON KANSAS SPEEDWAY
“Kansas Speedway is very challenging for drivers. Since the repave, the track is very smooth with progressive banking, giving drivers plenty of options. Races tend to have very few yellow flags, so fuel mileage will be a factor. The driver who can have the best balance over the top, middle and bottom grooves of the track will have the best shot to win. Brennan has done a great job adapting to new tracks this year and we hope to finish out his portion of the schedule on a high note.”
