SELF ROLLS INTO KANSAS WITH NEBRASKA TRANSPORT COMPANY ABOARD
KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Michael Self will return to the cockpit of the Nebraska Transport Company No. 0 Chevrolet for Saturday’s Kansas Lottery 300 Xfinity Series race at Kansas Speedway.
“I can’t thank Nebraska Transport Company and Johnny Davis enough for adding this race to my schedule and giving me this opportunity,” Self said. “I’m looking forward to going into Kansas with the same mindset and goals that I’ve had the last few races, just learn everything I can and get more of this mile-and-half experience under my belt at another new track.”
Self is excited to get back on track this weekend. “Kentucky was tough on me, but it was a big lesson learned, so I’m excited to take the knowledge I’ve gained since then and apply it this weekend,” said Self. “It’ll be great to have the folks from NTC at the track with us. They’re such a great group to work with, and I’m so proud to represent them and what they do. If it weren’t for groups like them, guys like me wouldn’t have these incredible opportunities to chase our dreams, so I’m hoping I can give back to them just as much as they’ve given me.”
Nebraska Transport Company will be returning as a partner of Michael Self and JD Motorsports with Gary Keller this weekend, having made their sponsorship debut in the NASCAR Xfinity Series at Iowa Speedway in August.
“We’re pleased to have Michael and the good people of JD Motorsports once again represent all of the employees here at NTC,” said Brent Holliday, CEO of Nebraska Transport Company. “We of course pride ourselves on offering great customer service but more important to us is operating a family business based on ethics, integrity and the core values we constantly strive toward. Michael has talent that will no doubt take him wherever he wants to go in this sport, but, at the end of the day, he is a quality human being. Michael is the type of individual we’re proud to support and to take our logo on to the track in Kansas City, where we have a great customer base.”
Saturday will mark Self’s seventh appearance in Chevrolets owned and prepared by JD Motorsports with Gary Keller this season. Practice is scheduled at the Kansas track at 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. (ET) Friday. Qualifying is set for 12:45 p.m. Saturday, with the race to follow at 4. Four races remain on the 2015 schedule.
About NTC – Nebraska Transport Company:
NTC- Nebraska Transport Company was started by Richard “Dick” Holliday Sr. in 1973. During the beginning he operated one lane, shipping to and from Scottsbluff NE from Omaha NE. NTC started operation October 28th, 1973 and had two straight trucks, two leased trucks and two borrowed trailers. The first load that was sent to Omaha had a mere 556 lbs on it and with the exceptions of weather delays, we have not failed that run since. Our Black and Gold colors are a result of the first straight truck, an old Hertz truck with the yellow cab and a black square painted over the Hertz sign on the door. We covered the black box by painting on NTC. From our very humble beginnings NTC has grown into the premier Midwest LTL carrier that has nationwide capabilities to service your transportation needs.
