Lee Tissot, the 2015 Southeast Super Trucks Series champion, started off his 2016 racing season this past weekend at the Winter Meltdown at Greenville-Pickens Speedway.
Tissot drove the No. 44 CM Driver Development and Leasing Chevrolet in the Southeast Super Trucks series premier event.
Winning the Southeast Super Trucks Series event at Greenville-Pickens last season, made Tissot a favorite to win the $3000 purse at the Winter Meltdown.
Although Tissot didn’t bring home the victory, he had an impressive third place finish among a field of very talented drivers.
Considering that the first time he had ever driven the No. 44 CM Driver Development and Leasing truck was on Friday before the race, his third place finish is a testament to Tissot’s high level of experience and talent.
Tissot’s successful third place finish is also a testament to CM Driver Development and Leasing and how well prepared the team is when working with drivers, in which they have not previously worked.
There is no doubt that this reigning champion will be a force to be reckoned this season in the Southeast Super Trucks series! Stay tuned!
