DARLINGTON, SOUTH CAROLINA (Feb. 10, 2016) – Darlington Raceway will celebrate the start of the 2016 NASCAR season by hosting its fifth annual community watch party on Sunday, Feb. 21.
The event will start at noon and continue until the conclusion of the Daytona 500. The party will again be hosted at Buffalo Wild Wings in Florence, S.C.
The community watch party will feature food and drink specials courtesy of Buffalo Wild Wings and Crown Beverage. Fans who attend will have the chance to win tickets, pit passes and pre-race ceremony wristbands, along with other prizes and giveaways to the Bojangles’ Southern 500 on Labor Day weekend.
“Our community watch party is a great way for us to engage with our local race fans and celebrate the start of the 2016 NASCAR season,” track President Chip Wile said. “We appreciate our partners, WBTW, WMBF, WEGX, WWFN and Crown Beverage for their efforts in helping make the event a fun one for our fans.”
Additionally, with the Daytona 500 quickly approaching, Darlington Raceway will be a presenting sponsor of live coverage from Daytona Speedweeks. Local media partners WBTW CBS 13, WMBF NBC 10 and WWFN 100.1 FM The Fan will broadcast live from Daytona International Speedway beginning on Feb. 17 through the Daytona 500 on Feb. 21.
The Tradition Continues on Labor Day weekend as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Bojangles’ Southern 500® is set for Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016. The NASCAR XFINITY Series VFW Sport Clips Help A Hero 200 will race on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016.
