Race No. 2: Atlanta… Michael Annett and the No. 46 Pilot Flying J Chevrolet team travel to Atlanta Motor Speedway for the second race of the 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season. This is the series’ only stop at the 1.54-mile track in Hampton, Ga. this year.
Fresh from Speedweeks… Annett scored a 10th-place finish in his Can-Am Duel race last Thursday at Daytona International Speedway, and finished 27th in Sunday’s Daytona 500. He recorded the fastest lap times on eight separate occasions during the 500, the fourth-most among the 40-driver field.
Annett at Atlanta… Annett finished 21st in his first Cup Series start at Atlanta in 2014. He also scored three finishes of 14th or better in five career NASCAR Xfinity Series starts at the facility.
