The Southeast Super Truck Series kicks off on March 26 at Tri-County Motor Speedway. TCMS is a four-tenths mile high banked speedway located in Hudson, North Carolina.
Last season when the series visited the speedway, it was veteran Kevin Leicht taking home the victory and Lee Tissot wrapping up the Championship.
This year will mark the fifth year for SEST and it looks to be the biggest. Rumor has it there will be 20-25 trucks competing at TCMS. Reigning champion Tissot will be competing in a brand new truck, while last season’s Rookie of the Year Ricky Bowers will be back in action, along with several new drivers.
Previous Hickory Motor Speedway Super Truck champion Jason Cochran has been noted to be joining the series; he has won quite a few races at Tri-County. Another stand out is young Ahnna Parkhurst, who will be competing with the series full-time this year as a Richard Childress Racing development driver.
The SEST series has already completed one race this season as a companion race in the Winter Meltdown at Greenville Pickens Speedway. Anthony Anders took home the trophy in the non-points race. With the 2016 season right around the corner, it will be one of the best seasons yet.
