David Starr Finishes 38th
The XFINITY Series completes the final stop in the NASCAR Goes West campaign with David Starr finishing 38th in the TreatMyClot.com 300 at Auto Club Speedway. Qualifying 29th, Starr quickly advanced through the field to the 21st position. Pitting under caution, Crew Chief Frank Kerr called for minor adjustments as Starr had relayed the Zachry Camry was tight. Soon after returning to the field for the restart, Starr progressed to 18th position when the No. 44 lost power. After further evaluation in the garage, it was determined the Zachry Camry would not return to the track. With the conclusion of the West Coast swing, the NASCAR XFINITY Series will have two weekends off and will resume competition at Texas Motor Speedway.

JJ Yeley Finishes 27th
JJ Yeley brings the No. 14 Toyota home p27 in the NASCAR XFINITY Series race, wrapping up the west coast swing at Auto Club Speedway on Saturday. A promising day turned south after a pit gun failure during green flag pit stops before the halfway point. Continuing the fight, Yeley was able to salvage a Top 30 finish in the TreatMyClot.com 300.
Yeley: “Man where to start. It’s been a very frustrating day. We were battling an ill handling car, but it looked like we might be able to pull off a Top 20, and then the problem with the Green Flag stop happened. I’m ready for the two week break so we can regroup as a team, and get ready for Texas Motor Speedway in April.”
