Last season was a successful season for Dylan Westbrook as he was able to pick up the championship in the Crate Sprint Car division at Ohsweken Speedway.
“Last season we had an amazing year,” Westbrook stated at the Motorama Custom Car and Motorsports Show. “I think we had five wins and a bunch of top-10s. Everybody that helps out – thank you very much.”
He also turned heads in his first 360 Sprint Car start, battling for the lead with Glenn Styres till contact resulted in both drivers being taken out.
“That was a lot of fun,” he comments. “I was just hoping to make the feature, I didn’t expect to be that fast. It was a lot of fun.”
Westbrook added that he was just looking to gain experience, in knowing that it was a pretty big step-up in his career.
“There’s a lot of big names in the 360 Sprint Car division,” he continued. “I was just hoping for the best and hoping that I could make the feature. I just kept trying hard, and ended up doing well.”
Westbrook is set to run full-time in the 360 Sprint Cars this upcoming season, running each Friday night at Ohsweken.
“I’m just hoping to go out there and win a few races,” he stated. “If I win the championship, that’d be unreal. Just going to try and win some races, learn how to set-up the car and get some experience in the 360.”
Outside of Ohsweken Speedway, he will be racing some events with the Southern Ontario Sprints, as well.
“I like traveling around and seeing different tracks and racing against different guys,” he said.
