Reed on Texas Motor Speedway
“After two weeks off, I can’t wait to get back behind the wheel of my No. 16 Lilly Diabetes/American Diabetes Association Ford Mustang for the first night race of the season. There’s just something special about racing at night that’s so intense and makes the racing really fun. We definitely deserve redemption after having some bad luck in the first five races and I think this is our chance. We were really fast here last year after figuring out what we needed setup-wise. We should have the car dialed in as soon as we unload and hope to have a shot at a good finish here.”
Local Connections
Team Mechanic Troy Phillips hails from Texas. His hometown of Pasadena, Texas is located just over four hours from TMS.
The No. 16 team’s Rear Tire Carrier, Eric Wallace, is also a Texas native. Wallace calls Austin, Texas his hometown.
