On April 12, 2016, tickets for the 30th running of the Honda Indy Toronto went on sale for the general public with the exclusive Champions Club program and benefits for renewal ticket customers has been extended to new ticket purchasers for a limited time. From now until April 25, and customer who purchases a two-day grandstand ticket for the 2016 Honda Indy Toronto will receive exclusive benefits, including Paddock Passes, access to the Verizon Indy Car Series pre-race grid walk and also the opportunity to sign the start/finish line.
“Our team has been hard at work to come up with exciting ways to recognize our customers as we get ready to celebrate 30 years of racing in Toronto,” said Jeff Atkinson, president of the Honda Indy Toronto. “The Champions Club is a great way for us to reward our most loyal customers and those getting a head start on buying their tickets. It’s only the beginning, get ready for more exciting announcements race fans.”
The on-track activity will include two fan favorites joining the competition. Robby Gordon’s SPEED Energy Stadium Super Trucks will return for their fourth consecutive year to race the street course, with the Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama will also be returning to the streets of Toronto.
The Honda Indy Toronto will return to a double format, featuring the NASCAR Pinty’s Series race headlining on Saturday, July 16 and the Verizon Indy Car Series will headlining on Sunday July 17. The event will feature the entire Road to Indy ladder, showcasing the young drivers trying to reach the Verizon Indy Car Series. The Road to Indy program consists of Indy Lights presented by Cooper Tires, The Pro Mazda Championship presented by Cooper tires and the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship powered by Mazda.
