Looking for his third straight victory in a row, Kyle Busch is looking pretty speedy as he lead the second practice ahead of Sunday’s Food City 500.
Busch would top the charts with a lap of 15.184 seconds, as he will start Sunday’s race from the fifth spot. He has won in the past at Bristol, scoring five victories in the past.
Coming off of his first top-five finish, Chase Elliott was second quickest on the speed chart, 0.014 seconds off of Busch. Kurt Busch was third quickest as he also looks for his sixth career Bristol victory. The Stewart-Haas Racing driver is looking for his first victory of this season as he currently has one top-five and five top-10s thus far this season.
Aric Almirola was fourth quickest as he looks for his first top-10 of the season, followed by race pole sitter Carl Edwards. Edwards has three top-five so far this season.
Joey Logano was sixth, followed by Casey Mears, Matt Kenseth, Kasey Kahne and Ryan Newman.
The Sprint Cup Series will return to the track for the final practice at 11am EST, followed by the race on Sunday at 1pm EST.
