BRIGHTON (April 18, 2016) – With the 2016 season just a handful of days away, Brighton Speedway is looking forward to a number of major events during its 49th season of action.
The 1/3-mile clay oval will host the Southern Ontario Sprints presented by Sanderson’s Tire and Automotive on six occasions in 2016, including the double-header Ultramar Labour Day Classic Weekend presented by Lucas Oil, Rock 107 and Mystical Distributing. The 2016 edition takes place on Saturday, September 3 and Sunday, September 4.
The event once again features two nights of Winged 360 Sprint Car action for the SOS. The Ultramar Classic offers a rare opportunity in Ontario to see Sprint Cars on back-to-back nights at the same track.
Friday night will also feature the Four Wide Designs Dream Come True Dash for drivers who have never for a Winged 360 race. Saturday features the Simon Petit Wingless Sprint Car Dash.
In addition to the Southern Ontario Sprints, the OilGARD Canadian Modifieds, Brighton Automotive Pro Stocks, Bill’s Johns Comp 4s and Quinte Septic Stingers all compete on Friday night. The Vanderlaan Building Products RUSH Pro Late Models and OilGARD Canadian Modifieds compete topless on Saturday night along with the Brighton Automotive Pro Stocks.
Off the track the event is a family favourite which often features a barbeque and several family activities in addition to the on track action.
The annual Ultramar Labour Day Classic Weekend is among the can’t-miss events at Brighton Speedway this season. Adult admission is just $20 each night.
