The Indy Family Foundation is gearing up for the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil by reviving the popular “Festival on Main” in Speedway, Ind, with the help and support from the 100th Running Host Committee and the Speedway Chamber of Commerce.
The family-friendly festival this year will be on May 13 (from 5-11p.m. ET) and will feature a free live concert, a celebrity dunk tank, appearances by popular Angies List Grand Prix of Indianapolis and the Indianapolis 500 drivers, food trucks, a classic car show, beer gardens and other exciting entertainment, which will include a BMX performance by Wonder Wheels of Indianapolis. The free concert will feature national known acts and Indiana natives Josh Kaufman as well as Jon McLaughlin. The event is free of charge.
Festival on the Main will benefit the Indy Family Foundation, who most recently helped facilitate the Justin Wilson Children’s fund. The Festival on the Main will also team up with Indy’s Best Party with a Purpose, Pub Theology, and will work with Feeding Children Everywhere to pack 100,000 meals during the event. There will be assembly lines for people to help pack the 100,000 meals for the children in need all across Indiana.
