Matt Tifft’s busy schedule continues to get busier as beyond driving in the XFINITY Series for Joe Gibbs Racing and JGL Racing, he will run the next three Camping World Truck Series races for Red Horse Racing.
“I’m really excited for the opportunity to join Red Horse Racing,” said Tifft. “I’m looking forward to working with (teammate) Timothy (Peters) and (crew chief) Scott Zipadelli on our No. 11 Toyota Tundra team. We’re going to some tracks I really enjoy and I’m confident we’re going to have some speed and we’ll go and try to get some really good runs.”
The nineteen-year-old has 15 previous truck starts under his belt, with six top-10 finishes.
“We’re very glad to bring Matt on board for the next few races,” said team owner Tom DeLoach. “He’s a great young driver with a lot of potential and I think we can help him gain some more experience and continue to improve.”
The next races on the schedule are Kansas Speedway, Dover International Speedway and Charlotte Motor Speedway. The team added that there’s a possibility of adding additional races to the schedule, as well.
Ben Kennedy drove the No. 11 Toyota Tundra in the first three races, though was let go from the team last week.
