Six time Sprint Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson dominated the final practice session for tomorrow’s Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond International Raceway.
Not only did Johnson have the fastest lap of the session at (22.342 seconds, 120.849 MPH). He also had the fastest ten lap race average among all drivers in the one hour plus practice session.
Johnson’s Hendrick Motorsports teammate Kasey Kahne was second followed by: Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick, and last week’s Bristol winner Carl Edwards rounded out the top five.
Matt Kenseth was sixth followed by: Martin Truex Jr., AJ Allmendinger, Paul Menard, and Joey Logano rounding out the top ten.
Other notables were: Denny Hamlin 11th, Kurt Busch 12th, Brad Keselowski 15th, Dale Earnhardt Jr. 16th, Chase Elliott 20th, and Tony Stewart in 23rd.
