Through a combined effort by Rick Ware Racing and B.J. McLeod Motorport, Travis Kvapil is set to run the ToyotaCare 250 at Richmond International Raceway this weekend.
“I’m really looking forward to getting back in a XFINITY Series car this weekend,” said Kvapil. “I appreciate the opportunity that Rick Ware and B.J. McLeod are giving me and with the support of CorvetteParts.net and Keen Parts, I’m hoping for a good solid run.”
Kvapil will pilot the No. 15 Ford Mustang, with sponsorship from CorvetteParts.net.
“Travis has always been a great ambassador for our brand for a long time and we take pride in being a part of his XFINITY Series return,” Teresa Keen, owner of Keen Parts, said. “Our customers and vendors have always supported Travis and we’re not only thankful to him for what he’s done, but thanks to Rick Ware Racing and B.J. McLeod Motorsports for welcoming us to their family.”
It marks the first start in the XFINITY for the Wisconsin native since 2009, and his sixth start in the series. He has made 16 previous starts at Richmond in the Sprint Cup Series.
“We’re thankful for this opportunity to work with Travis,” said B.J. McLeod, who drives the No. 78 Main Gate Ford Mustang full time. “With both teams continuing to work hard to be better and better on the track with every passing race, working with someone like Travis who has a massive amount of experience can be something that we can lean on for not only this weekend, but hopefully moving forward too.”
RWR and BJMM also announced that Jason Houghtaling will be calling the shots for Kvapil.
