The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Race to be run at Eldora Speedway in July has a new title sponsor as Aspen Dental has signed on as the sponsor.
“During our five year partnership with Stewart-Haas Racing, we’ve successfully ignited conversation and buzz about what is often an overlooked healthcare issue- oral health,” said Bob Fontana, CEO of Aspen Dental Management, Inc. “The Truck Series race at Eldora is a unique event in NASCAR that generates plenty of buzz and conversations, too. With more than 45 Aspen Dental-branded locations in Ohio alone and dozens more throughout the Midwest, we’re excited that Aspen Dental will serve as the title sponsor for this fan-favorite event.”
This will be the fourth year for the truck race at the famous Ohio dirt track that is owned by Tony Stewart. The first race was run in 2013.
“Aspen Dental has leveraged its partnership with Stewart-Haas Racing and Danica Patrick really well and this new role with Eldora Speedway gives them another strong platform,” said Stewart. “The Truck Series brings dirt-track fans and NASCAR fans together under one roof. It’s unique to Eldora and it allows Aspen Dental a unique opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of oral health.”
There was some fun to be had with the Columbus, Indiana native today during the announcement as teammate Patrick, invited Stewart to join the Aspen “Tooth Fairy Squad” in which she presented him with his attire for the squad which consisted of a pink tutu and pink fairy wand.
The race will take place on the half-mile clay oval; it’s the only National NASCAR series to have an event that is contested on dirt. The event will be 150 laps that will be broken down into three different segments, of 40 laps, 50 laps and 60 laps. Qualifying will be five heat races to set the 32-truck field, a salute to dirt-track tradition.
“The Truck Series race at Eldora has become one of our most popular events,” said Roger Slack, General Manager, and Eldora Speedway. “The excitement in the stands and the buzz on social media, especially from within the NASCAR industry is incredible we look forward to hosting NASCAR’s only dirt race again in July.”
Eldora Speedway was founded by Earl Baltes in 1954 carved from a cornfield in the natural amphitheater that existed between the Eldora Ballroom and the Wabash River. In 2004, Baltes ready to sell the historic high banked oval choose Stewart as the buyer. Eldora is known for hosting these annual well-known races. The dirt late model Dream, Kings Royal Weekend and World 100 in additional to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Race. The race will take place Wednesday July 20th.
