Following a crash during the Toyota Tundra 250 at Kansas Speedway, Parker Kligerman’s season may end prematurely.
While racing in the midst of the pack, John Hunter Nemechek would get loose while in the middle of four-wide, sliding up and putting John Wes Townley in hte wall. As Townley came off of the wall, Kligerman would just catch the front nose of Townley, crashing back up into the wall.
“That was a hard hit,” Kligerman. “The 8 (Nemechek) and the 5 (Townley) got together and its just unfortunate at this point in the race. I saw the 5 spinning own and he clipped me. I had nowhere to go – just wrong place, wrong time.”
Coming into the year, Ricky Benton Racing only committed to fielding Kligerman for a couple of races. However, with three straight top-10s to start the year, RBR made the decision to allow Kligerman to run more events this year. With a wrecked truck, though, his season could be in jeopardy.
“We were doing so well in the points,” he said. “We needed this truck for Charlotte. We’ll be at Dover, but I don’t know if we’ll be at Charlotte.”
