Tim Hortons announced as the official sponsor of the 2016 Honda Indy Toronto later this summer.
As part of the sponsorship terms, Tim Hortons will be the official coffee and baked good provider at the Honda Indy Toronto, having an existence on site with a Tim Coffee Truck to deliver Canada’s Favorite Coffee to event-goers and team personnel, accompanying with branding throughout the event grounds and along the celebrated street course.
“Tim Hortons is a big part of Toronto and Canadian culture,” said Jeff Atkinson, President of the Honda Indy Toronto. “Partnering with an iconic Canadian brand like Tim Hortons is important to us. We are excited to be working with them.”
The Honda Indy Toronto started back in 1986 and is Ontario’s largest annual sporting event taking place on the grounds of the famous Exhibition Place with an unique lakefront and downtown setting. The three day event has seen Canadian legends Paul Tracy, Greg Moore and current IndyCar driver James Hinchcliffe.

Tim Hortons one of North America’s largest restaurant chains serving in the quick service segment and are part of Restaurant Brands International. They were started in Canada in 1964, their menu includes premium coffee, baked goods, hot and cold specialty drinks. As of end of 2015 they had more the 4,400 restaurant in Canada, United States and the Middle East. The race will run on Sunday July 17th.
