NCWTS: Cole Custer Leads Final Truck Practice at Dover International Speedway

In the final practice ahead of the Dover 200 on Friday evening, it’d be Cole Custer topping the charts behind the wheel of his No. 00 Haas Automation Chevrolet. Custer topped the charts with a lap of 22.846 seconds. The son of Stewart-Haas Racing executive Joe Shear is looking for a strong run following his first top-10 last weekend at Kansas with a seventh.

Christopher Bell was second quickest as he comes off of his first top-five of the year with a fourth at Kansas. Ben Kennedy was third as he makes his first start of the year with GMS Racing. Kennedy started the year with Red Horse Racing, but was let go after the third race. Interestingly, Matt Tifft who is driving Kennedy’s old ride was fourth quickest, followed by Kennedy’s GMS teammate Johnny Sauter.

Atlanta Motor Speedway race winner John Hunter Nemechek was sixth, followed by Spencer Gallagher, Kaz Grala, Ben Rhodes, and William Byron. Byron led the opening practice.
