Rette Jones Racing announced today they will field a truck for 19-year-old Jesse Little at Charlotte Motor Speedway next weekend.
The son of former NASCAR driver Chad Little has four previous starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series last year driving for ThorSport Racing, and will run the No. 30 Carolina Nut Co. Toyota in a technical alliance between Rette Jones Racing and ThorSport Racing.
“I’m excited to finally announce my return to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series,” said Little. “I’m extremely appreciative of this opportunity with Rette Jones Racing and ThorSport Racing for the chance to compete at Charlotte Motor Speedway next weekend. We’ve work hard over the past couple of months putting our No. 30 The Carolina Nut Co. Toyota Tundra together with hopes we can go to Charlotte and have a successful night.”
In Little’s four Truck Series starts last year, he finished a best of 14th at Homestead-Miami Speedway in the season finale.
A member NASCAR’s Next9 program, highlighting NASCAR’s up and coming young guns, Little joined Rette Jones Racing this year for a part-time ride with their K&N Pro Series East team. He’s run one race so far this season at Mobile International Speedway in Alabama where he finished third.
Mark Rette is a relatively new team owner in NASCAR. His team made three starts in the series last year, finishing a best of 21st twice with driver Chad Finley. Rette believes the ability to continue to run a part-time effort in the Truck Series will be pivotal to the team’s continued success.
“Jesse is an unbelievable talent,” said Rette. “I’ve been around him a lot and he can get the job done. For us, it just made sense to put this program together for Jesse and build on this new partnership with ThorSport Racing. Undoubtedly with their success and accolades on the race track, it’s something for our organization to stride for. We’re looking forward to Charlotte and what’s ahead after that and hope we can turn some heads along the way.”
