JGR drivers swept the front row with Erik Jones on pole, and Daniel Suarez qualifying second. Jones will lead the field to the green in the first heat race, while Suarez will start on pole for the second heat race.
Following the two Gibbs teammates in qualifying were the three JR Motorsports teammates of Justin Allgaier, Elliott Sadler and Alex Bowman. Bowman’s making his first start of the season at Dover in the No. 88.
Rounding out the top-10 were Ty Dillon, Paul Menard, Matt Tifft, Brennan Poole and Ryan Sieg.
TheĀ first session of qualifying was halted shortly for smoke billowing out of the No. 15 of Travis Kvapil. The qualifying session was quickly restarted after a quick track clean-up.
With today’s race being the third of four XFINITY Dash for Cash race, the top-two finishing drivers in each 40-lap heat vying for XFINITY Series points will get to compete for the $100,000 cash prize.
