With the pass for the lead just past halfway, defending co-Thunder Car Champion Brad Collison didn’t look back en route to scoring the victory.
Shawn Arnott started pole ahead of Hudson Nagy, Chris Howse, Collison, Austin Penney, Bobby Mercer and Nick Troback.
The feature didn’t start off well for Nagy as he’d lock the brakes up going into turn one, getting into the outside wall. With heavy damage, he’d be done for the night.
Howse grabbed the early advantage over Arnott, even as Arnott used the bumper and got Howse a little sideways off of turn two. Collison made his move early, though, passing Arnott for third at Lap 3, with Troback getting alongside Arnott for fourth.
Collison ran down Howse quickly, getting alongside him at Lap 7, completing the pass a lap later. Howse now ran second ahead of Arnott, Troback, Mercer and Penney.
From there on, Brad Collison would cruise to the victory over Chris Howse, while Shawn Arnott held of Nick Troback for third. Bobby Mercer finished fifth, followed by Austin Penney.
