After taking the lead before halfway, Josh Shantz held off a hard-charging Andy Wheller to score the victory in the Pure Stock feature at Flamboro Speedway.
Roger Lessard took the early lead after starting on the front row followed by Wheller. Shantz began to make his move quickly from the sixth spot, getting alongside Wheller for second at Lap 3. He would complete the pass three laps later, getting alongside Lessard for the lead, before completing the pass on Lap 8.
Shantz now led ahead of Lessard, Wheller, Matt Young and first feature winner Wayde Thorne. Thorne got alongside Young for fourth at Lap 11, completing the pass a lap later. Behind them, Alex Shuts ran sixth followed by Lofton Schuts, Ross Winters Jr. and Blair Mayhew as Ashton Reekie and Eric Crow battled for 10th. The caution then flew on Lap 14 for a spin in turn three and four.
The restart got a little hairy as Thorne took a small ride through the backstretch dirt, but was able to keep it straight and maintain momentum to not lose ground.
