Ed Hakonson Racing/Team 3 Red announced the addition of a pair of partners for the 2016 racing season just days before the season opener at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
DSI Services and Raybestos have joined EHR as partners to the No. 3 Chevrolet driven by Jason Hathaway.
DSI Services is a heavy duty industrial cleaning company run out of Timmins, Ontario, the hometown of team owner Ed Hakonson. Hakonson is excited to add DSI to the team for the 2016 season.
“Having DSI with us each week gives us an opportunity to support a wonderful company,” Hakonson said. “They are great at what they do and we look forward to helping create a larger awareness of them and what they can do.”
Also joining EHR for the 2016 season will be Raybestos. Raybestos is a name familiar to NASCAR fans. They first got involved in racing in the 1950s, and even sponsored cars in NASCAR’s top-three series as well as the Rookie of the Year award. The leading brand of brakes will dip its feet into the NASCAR Pinty’s Series for the first time in 2016.
“Raybestos has been involved with auto racing for more than 60 years,” said Kristin Grons, Marketing Manager, Brake Parts Inc. “We are excited to partner with Jason Hathaway and join a fast-paced environment where we can showcase Element3 brake pads in every race. Element3 hybrid formulations deliver unsurpassed stopping power and vehicle control, even under the most aggressive braking conditions.”
Jason Hathaway and Ed Hakonson Racing will hit the pavement for their first race of the season this weekend in the Clarington 200 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. Hathaway enters the season coming off his best season yet in the Pinty’s Series last year with three wins, and being runner-up in the series championship.
