After thrilling the fans with a battle right to the checkered flag at Flamboro Speedway, the OSCAAR Midgets are set to run their second race of the season with a trip to Peterborough Speedway.
Brian Woodland is hoping to score his second straight feature victory this weekend after winning at Flamboro. He has done well in each of his past Peterborough Speedway starts, scoring a top-seven finish in each of his starts last season.
James Stanley hopes to score his fifth straight top-six finish dating back to last year, after coming mere inches short of scoring the victory at Flamboro last weekend. He has been strong at Peterborough Speedway in the past, posting a podium finish last July to go with a ninth in August and sixth in October.
Richard Woodland wants to repeat last year’s Peterborough Speedway success, as he won the event last May, while finishing third in August and fourth in October. He has started off his season well, winning a heat en route to finishing third at Flamboro.
In the later half of last season, Wayne McKibbon started to find his groove with a pair of top-10s late in the year. Off to a strong start this year with a fifth at Flamboro, he looks to carry the success moving forward.
Brian MacDonald has been strong at Peterborough recently, including a fourth place finish last year. He hopes to run in the top-five once again following a fourth at Flamboro.
Adam Cuzilla started off this year solidly, finishing ninth at Flamboro Speedway. It’s a strong step forward for the youngster after finishing 13th last year at Peterborough Speedway.
After struggling in his heats, Wally Wilson put together an impressive run in the feature, finishing sixth. He hopes to carry the momentum to Peterborough, and keep on all four wheels unlike last year’s wild ride that he took down the backstretch.
Larry Wilson hopes to break into the top-five this weekend following a seventh at Flamboro. He was solid last year at Peterborough, posting a seventh place finish last summer.
Russ Couture’s OSCAAR Midget debut went a little rougher than expected with a small roll-over in practice. No harm, no foul though as he was able to come back to finish eighth. He hopes his past experience at Peterborough Speedway in a Mini Stock pays off for a strong run.
Ryan Brown posted his first top-10 since Full Throttle last September with a 10th place finish at Flamboro. He’ll hope to be stronger this weekend, hoping Peterborough treats him well following a 12th last season.
After experiencing problems throughout his OSCAAR debut at Flamboro, Zack Millman hopes to have a smoother race weekend so he can start getting some track time under his belt.
Along with the OSCAAR Midgets, the OSCAAR Pro Midgets will also be in attendance joining Peterborough Speedway’s 4Fun, Mini Stock and Thunder Car divisions. The pit will open at 3pm, with the front gate open at 5pm and racing starting at 6pm. Details can be found on the Peterborough website at http://www.peterboroughspeedway.com/.
